Delete your data

How to ask Telyqro to delete everything it holds about your device, and what is deleted or kept. Each device is known by its Device ID. If you made an optional account (email and password), you can delete it yourself: sign in with your email and choose Delete the account. That removes the account; the devices and their data stay until you ask as below.

How to request deletion

  1. Open Telyqro on the device and write down its Device ID (it looks like a1:b2:c3:d4:e5:f6) and its Device Key. Both are shown on the home screen and under Settings. The Device Key shows us the request comes from the device’s owner.
  2. Uninstall the app from that device. While the app is installed and running, it registers the device again.
  3. Email [email protected] from any address, with the subject “Delete my data”, the Device ID and the Device Key. One email can list several devices. If the device is lost and you can’t see its Device Key, say so, and include the email address you paid with, if you bought a plan, so we can check it’s yours.
  4. We confirm by email once the data is deleted, within 30 days.

To remove only your playlists, there’s no need to write: sign in with your device and remove them under Playlists, or delete them in the app.

What is deleted

  • The device record: Device ID, Device key, device public key, model, operating system and app version, last IP address.
  • Playlists synced to our servers, with their logins and URLs, and any uploaded M3U files.
  • The preferences backup: settings, favorites, locks and channel lineup edits.
  • Website sign-in sessions for the device.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, deletes everything stored on the device itself.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Payment records (plan, amount, date, payment reference, and the Device ID in the order description sent to the payment provider): as long as accounting and tax rules, refunds and disputes require. PayPal and other payment providers keep their own copy under their own privacy policies.
  • The trial record (a one-way hash of the device and its trial dates): kept, so the free trial can’t be restarted. It can’t be used to identify you.
  • Security log entries (sign-ins and changes, with the Device ID and IP addresses): kept for security and fraud investigation.
  • Reseller credit history: if a reseller activated the device, their record of credits spent, which names the Device ID, is kept for their accounting.
  • Server logs (IP address, the address requested, app name, time): kept only as long as our hosting’s log rotation keeps them.
  • Database backups may hold deleted data until they are replaced by newer backups.

A plan bought for a deleted device can’t be restored afterwards. If you install Telyqro again later, the device gets the same Device ID (it’s worked out from the device itself) but starts without its playlists, settings or plan, and its free trial doesn’t start over. More detail is in our privacy policy.
